Please note that all tickets are a charity donation and non-refundable.

Participants must be 16 years or older to take part in the 10k or 12 years old for the 5k race.

​

All 10k and 5k runners will also receive an exclusive 15% discount at Run Walk Sport, Winchester.

​

Children of any age may take part in the 2k event, which stays entirely on the field. Children may be accompanied by an adult if needed, but we ask accompanying adults to peel off before the finish and not enter the finish funnel.

​

This event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and will be run under UK Athletics rules.

​

Parking

Parking will be available at South Winchester Park & Ride (SO21 2FG), with Alfred Buses kindly providing a free shuttle service to and from Twyford.

​

Once dropped off in Twyford, it is just a short walk to Hunter Park and the race village.

​

Timings

Registration opens at 8:00am and will close promptly at 9:15am.

On arrival, please make your way to the registration tent to collect your race number.

​

A bag-drop facility will be available for a £2 fee payable on the day. Please note that all items are left at the runner’s own risk.

The 10k and 5k races will start at 9:30am.

​

To help create a smooth and safe start, we ask faster runners to position themselves towards the front, joggers in the middle and walkers towards the back.

​

The children’s 2k event will start at approximately 11:00am, once the 10k runners have finished. This allows parents and carers to take part in the earlier races before watching their children in the on-field event.

​

Route

The 10k and 5k are multi-terrain routes incorporating local footpaths, tracks, fields and sections of road.

​

There are a number of stiles and kissing gates along the routes.

Please follow all instructions given by our marshals, particularly on road sections. Marshals are there to help keep runners safe and may ask you to stop temporarily to allow traffic to pass.

Please note that marshals will not be stopping traffic - they will be stopping runners.

​

Both routes are challenging and undulating, with a few hilly sections, but you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views across the Hampshire countryside.

​

If you pass through an unmanned gate and are the last runner through, please ensure the gate is closed behind you.

For safety reasons, headphones are not permitted, although bone-conduction headphones are allowed.

​

Important route warning

These are multi-terrain, cross-country routes and the ground may be uneven, muddy or slippery, particularly in poor weather.

All entrants should wear suitable footwear, ensure laces are securely tied, take care at all times and follow all warning signs, course markers and instructions from marshals.

 

Facilities

• Toilets will be available in the cricket pavilion.

• First aid will be available both at the finish area and out on the course.

• There will be a water station at approximately the halfway point of the 10k route.

• Water and refreshments will also be available at the finish.

Prizes

• Prizes will be awarded to race winners.

• All finishers will receive a medal, with additional spot prizes also available to all runners.

Results and photos

• Race results and event photos will be emailed to competitors within 48 hours of the event.
